After adding a Voice channel to your Trengo inbox, you can choose to enable or disable your voicemail. If enabled, callers get the option to leave a message when they reach out to you outside your business hours, when your voice queue is full, or when there is no user available to pick up the call. In this article, we’ll show you how to set up your voicemail.

Enable your voicemail

Follow the steps below to enable the voicemail in your voice channel.

1. Navigate to Settings > Channels > Voice and select your voice channel;

2. Scroll down to ‘VoIP settings’ and enable the voicemail feature;

ℹ️ In case you do not want to receive voicemail messages, we recommend disabling the voicemail feature, and enabling the ‘Log missed calls’ feature. This will create tickets for missed calls, so you can call them back later.

ℹ️ You can also choose to use our ‘Call overflow’ feature, which forwards calls that can’t be picked up to another phone number. Do note that the voicemail and 'Call overflow' can not be active at the same time.

Don’t forget to click ‘Update channel’ at the bottom of the page, to save your changes.

You’ve now successfully set up your voicemail. You can now further adjust the channel to your liking, and you’re ready to pick up and make phone calls in Trengo.
