Conditions for Widget automation

It is possible to only trigger a widget automation based on certain conditions of the website visitor. In this article, we explain all the different conditions. 

Condition 1: Visitor last seen

Choose 'visitor last seen' if you want your greeting to target visitors that have been on your site before.

You can be as specific as you want, for example: 'visitor last seen 2 days ago' will trigger your greeting to all visitors that have been on your site less than 2 days ago.

Condition 2: Visitor last contact

Choose 'visitor last contact' if you want your greeting to target visitors that you've been in touch with before.

You can be as specific as you want, for example: 'visitors last contact 2 weeks ago' will trigger your greeting to all visitors that you've been in touch with more than 2 weeks ago.

Condition 3: Visitor total visits

Choose 'visitor total visits' if you want your greetings to target visitors only the first time they visit your site or the third time. It really is up to you, for example: 'visitor total visits equals 1' will trigger your greeting only for first-time visitors.

💡 The definition of a visit is the time spent between entering and leaving your site. A new visit is counted every time a visitor has left your site and has returned.

Condition 4: Visitor total page views

Choose 'visitor total page views' if you want your greeting to trigger based on your visitor's site behavior.

If you choose this condition, the greeting only triggers after a certain number of pages have been visited. For example, 'visitor total page views equals 4' will trigger your greeting only once the visitor has at least visited 4 pages on your site.

Condition 5: UTM source

Choose 'UTM source' if you want your greetings to trigger based on the source of the visits.

This is especially useful if you're running a campaign and you want to share a campaign discount code to a targeted audience only.

Condition 6: UTM campaign

Choose 'UTM campaign' if you want your greetings to trigger based on the source of the visits.

This is especially useful if you're running a campaign and you want to share a campaign discount code to a targeted audience only. 

Condition 7: UTM medium

Choose 'UTM medium' if you want your greetings to trigger based on the source of the visits.

This is especially useful if you're running a campaign and you want to share a campaign discount code to a targeted audience only. 

Condition 8: UTM term

Choose 'UTM term' if you want your greetings to trigger based on the source of the visits. This way you can target your visitors based on the search terms they've used to land on your website.

Condition 9: Mobile device

Choose 'Mobile device' to trigger your greeting on mobile devices only.
