Step 1: Open the Rates page

Go to: rates.trengo.com

Scroll down to the Port your number section.

Step 2: Enter your phone number

Select the country of the phone number you want to migrate.

Then enter the specific phone number and click the arrow to check availability.

Step 3: Check the result

After checking, there are two possible outcomes:

This number cannot be ported

This means the number cannot be migrated to Trengo Voice.Some number types, such as mobile numbers, are not supported.

This number can be ported

This means the number is eligible for migration.Click View migration requirements to see which information and documents are required.

Step 4: Send your migration request

Send all required information and documents by email to: mailto:team@trengo.com. Use the following subject line: Beta Voice porting request

Step 5: Use recent documents

Make sure you send recent invoices and up-to-date documents, and wished migration date and time.

One of the required documents is a Letter of Authorization (LOA). This document must match the exact details currently registered with the carrier where the number is hosted today. We strongly recommend contacting your current voice provider first to confirm the details required in the LOA download form before submitting it.

Submitting incorrect information or almost expired documents will lead to delays and increased communication in the porting process.

Step 6: We start the migration process

After we receive your email, we will start the migration request with our carrier by submitting your documents.

We will keep you informed if:

  • More information is needed
  • Documents are not accepted
  • We receive updates about the confirmed migration date and time from our carrier

Step 7: Prepare your Trengo Voice channel

Once the migration date is confirmed, we will inform you by email.

Before the migration happens, configure your Voice channel in Trengo: https://app.trengo.com/admin/channels2/voip

Click on your channel to set up greetings, messages, routing, and other settings, so everything is ready when the migration is completed.

Step 8: Migration day

At the planned migration date and time, the previous carrier and new carrier will start the porting process.

Please note that this may take several hours before the number is fully active on Trengo Voice.

Temporary disruption in reachability may occur during this time.

Tip

We recommend choosing a migration time between 08:00 and 16:30 CET, ideally near the end of your business hours, to reduce disruption.
