How to Set Up the E-commerce Triggers in Journeys

Before you start, ensure you have the following:

  • An active WhatsApp Business API channel connected to Trengo.
  • A approved WhatsApp template added to the WhatsApp Business channel.
  • The administrator or supervisor role to create and edit Journeys in your workspace.
  • An active integration with your e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or BigCommerce).

Step-by-step setup

  1. Navigate to your workspace and go to the AI Automation section in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click on Create New journey.
  3. Choose a trigger:
    • Order paid – Trigger a message when a customer completes payment for an order.
    • Order shipped – Notify customers when their order is shipped.
    • Order delivered – Send a confirmation when the order is delivered.
    • Order refunded – Inform customers when an order has been refunded.
  1. Select a connector (your E-commerce system) and click on Save.

5. Set up the action(s) you want to automate, such as sending a WhatsApp message.

6. Select the WhatsApp channel and the pre-approved WhatsApp template.
