When working in Trengo, you never have to check a separate email inbox again. By creating an email channel, you can receive and send emails right from Trengo. There are three types of email services you can connect through Trengo. In this article, we’ll tell you about these three types of inboxes: Google, Outlook, and forwarding.
Create your email channel
To create an email channel in Trengo and integrate your current inbox, you first navigate to Channels > Channels > Email. Click the ‘plus’ icon or ‘Connect email’, whereafter you can connect one of the three inboxes described below.
You can now choose from one of three options: Google, Outlook, or forwarding.
Integrate Google inbox
You’re able to integrate three types of Google inboxes into Trengo. It’s possible to integrate your Gmail inbox, integrate your Gsuite inbox, or use Google as your forwarding system, in case you use Google Admin but do not want to create a separate Google User for all your employees. After integrating your Gmail or Gsuite inbox, you can synchronize your Google inbox with Trengo. With this feature, the status of a ticket in Trengo will be directly reflected in your Google inbox.
Integrate Outlook inbox
Just like the Google inboxes, you can also integrate your Outlook inbox with Trengo. When you’ve synchronized your Outlook inbox with Trengo, labels will appear in your original Outlook inbox, reflecting the status of the tickets in your Trengo email channel.
Create a forwarding channel
In case you’d like to connect any other inbox with Trengo, other than Google or Outlook, like Microsoft 365, it’s recommended to create a forwarding channel. When a forwarding channel is created, a unique email address is made, to which you can forward your emails. After adding your domain to your forwarding channel, you can also answer these emails from your own domain.
