If you’ve created a forwarding email channel in Trengo and would like to forward emails from a Microsoft 365 inbox to this channel, you have to set one extra permission in Microsoft 365. In this article, we’ll explain how to do that.

Enable forwarding in Microsoft 365

Follow the steps below to enable the forwarding feature in Microsoft 365.

1. Log in to the Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Center and navigate to Threat management > Anti-spam;

2. Click the down arrow next to ‘Outbound spam filter policy ‎(always ON)’;

3. Select the ‘Edit policy’ button;

4. Click the down arrow next to ‘Automatic forwarding’, and choose ‘On - Forwarding is enabled’ from the dropdown menu;

5. Save your changes.

ℹ️ You may have set up other transport rules or spam policies, that block external forwarding. Reach out to Microsoft 365 Support if automatic external forwarding is still blocked, after adjusting the policy mentioned above.
