Recording voice calls

After adding a Voice channel to your Trengo inbox, you are able to record your calls for future purposes. Do note this can only be done with calls that are answered within Trengo. Therefore, SIP calls are not recorded in Trengo. In this article, we’ll show you how to do this.

ℹ️ Recording a call is not allowed in every country. Make sure to check with your local legislation before you enable this feature in Trengo.

ℹ️ For some countries, our provider will charge extra for recording calls. Check our pricing page to find the possible costs. If you connected your voice channel through Twilio, you can find the possible costs on their pricing page.

Record phone calls

Follow the steps below to record your phone calls in Trengo.

1. Navigate to Settings > Channels > Voice and select your voice channel;

2. Scroll down to ‘VoIP settings’ and enable or disable the recording feature;

3. Click ‘Update channel’ at the bottom of the page.

Recorded calls

After a call has taken place, the created ticket contains the recording. You are now able to play the recording and speed it up by clicking the arrow icons.

You’ve now successfully configured your recording calls feature. You can now further adjust the channel to your liking, and you’re ready to pick up and make phone calls in Trengo.
