Putting a calling customer on hold

It can happen that the answer to a question needs to be checked or that something needs to be looked into. In order to prevent an awkward silence, it can be convenient to put someone on hold for a while. This provides time for consulting a colleague or finding the right information.

The hold function in Trengo

Operating the telephone in Trengo is very easy; with just the push of a button, the customer can be transferred into or out of hold. In Trengo Voice, a customer is put on hold by pressing "Pause". Pressing the "Pause" button does not only put the call on hold, but also mutes the microphone. Ideal for when something needs to be discussed with another colleague!

By means of pushing the same "Pause" button, the customer can then be transferred out of hold again and you can resume your call!
