Mastering our new inbox

Article Info

To master the new Trengo inbox in no time, we covered the most important changes in this article. Here you'll learn:

  1. How to use our new navigation panel
  2. How to quickly take or make a call
  3. How to assign labels to conversations
  4. How to send a note to your colleagues
  5. How to stay productive with our redefined mobile version

Let's start with the new navigation panel, something we're really proud of.

How to use our new navigation panel

The navigation panel gives you quick visual access to all elements that were previously scattered around your inbox.

Navigation Panel

Simply click on the Trengo logo in the upper left corner and you can now:

  • access your profile settings
  • activate or deactivate your status for chat and calls
  • send out SMS
  • navigate to your Help Center
  • see all your contacts
  • visit profiles
  • manage your settings (this will depend on your user status)
  • read news about Trengo's latest launches and updates
  • and of course and the end of the working day -  log out of Trengo

Now, what about the black phone icon that just appeared on the left bottom of your screen?

How to quickly take or make a call

If we click on it, we can immediately dial a number, paste a number or search a profile's name. Obviously.

But it's more than just a fancy way to make a call. You can also forward your calls to your colleagues while you're away from your desk, select your favorite ringtone, or connect it to your headphones. All within that small black icon on the left bottom of your screen. Not bad, right?

How to assign labels to conversations

Let's take a closer look at labels. Labels are one of the most powerful tools to organize conversations in your inbox.

Labels

With our new inbox, you can assign them even faster than before. Simply open a conversation and click on the label icon above your conversation to assign matching labels. It's that simple.

Let's take a closer look at internal notes. First, we'll open a conversation.

How to send a note to your colleagues

At the bottom of the conversation, you can leave an internal note. Let's try this out with Luuk, our colleague.

Just type in @ and the name of your colleague you want to collaborate with. And That's how we use internal notes within our new inbox.

How to stay productive with our redefined mobile version

Our inbox redesign allows you to stay productive while on the move. Just as with our desktop version, we have also created a cleaner mobile experience. Open your navigation panel to find elements that were previously scattered in one overview. Take or make phone calls just as you'd do in our desktop version.

You'll notice that you've got a cleaner menu section. That's because we moved the elements to our new side menu. In here, you can find a lot of elements that used to be spread throughout the inbox. Conversations that have been assigned to you, teams, your channels and more - all depending on your Trengo account authority.

And that's how you use our new inbox.
